>>1817263I'll give you the short version then. Which is still somewhat lengthy considering I'm a blowhard fagtron.
1) Read the rules prior to posting.
>>1436774The rules specify against making request threads. I know you don't think of your thread as a request, but think about it this way, if you make a thread to share content you like, that's fine. When you make a thread so other people can post content you like for you, that's not.
2) The rules specify a cut-off-point between request threads and actual threads. Six. Which is trivially low. Out of webums already? Try the boorus.
http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?utf8=%E2%9C%93&tags=webm3) Scan the board before posting a new thread. There's already a dedicated webum/gif thread
>>18118624) You can also easily convert .gifs into webms. Which is a very worthwhile effort that would be appreciated back at /e/. Google webm converter and give it a shot if you'd like.
5) I also recommend renaming your webums. They can be hard to find in your /e/ folder once you have more than two.
6) Lastly, I want to try to dispel the misconception you might have about threads. You see an opening post that says "<Blank> thread go!" and under it dozens of pictures. It's natural to assume the OP posted the former and the rest of /e/ posted the latter. In reality, it's usually mostly the OP. This is a place where we share what we like. Not request it.
With that unpleasantness behind us, feel free to voice any comments or questions you have about /e/, and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
Now, let me be the first to welcome you to /e/!
