I'll remind you now that Marie was more popular than Tina in the US. Even in Europe where Tina was more popular (2nd place, still lost to Honkers), Marie still placed 6th, beating out more than half the cast. Even in a completely ideal scenario where they'd only count European votes, Marie and Honkers would have still made it in. Funnily enough, Lisa was near the bottom of the list for all three polls.
