When we take another animal, like a mouse, who have really good smell and sound capabilities, they have shit eyesight. Since these cat girls are almost entirely human, they're going to exhibit the same functionality as us normal humans. So if they where to place headphones directly on their ears, it would work because: one, their sens is the same; and two, their scoops aren't going to function. If they had external speakers, then we might start seeing problems.
However, none of that matters because you just turn down the fucking volume.
