Though I happen to know as a fact from multiple women that most are very concerned about the clothing they plan to wear after tanning and they make sure that the lines are covered because it just makes them look stupid and embarrases them.
Now they do like it when they come back from tanning evenly and saying they have a nice glow. Especially when it's coming back from the tropics on a vacation in the middle of winter.
