Guys avoid the dub ova like the plague. The voice work for Basara and Chisato's scene is so hilariously bad it not only ruins the scene but makes it obvious the actors were uncomfortable doing it. It felt awkward to watch. Chisato's voice is one of the worst attempts to sound sexy and seductive ever and all she does throughout the whole thing is whisper (maybe the VA thought that would make her sound sexy). Basara's VA doesn't capture the scene or mood at all. It just wasn't good.

Guessing due to the fact that this is the last volume in regards to story, that he thought it was important to prioritize the "epic fight" scenes for the big climactic battle over just ecchi pics. There have been plenty of ecchi pics in the past, there is only one time you can show off the final battle and powerups. You know, imagine if say DBZ was a LN and it didn't show a pic of Gohan going SSJ2 in favor of say a Android 18 sexy pic. Before anyone think otherwise I first want to say I'm ok with pregnancy but just not how it's handled here. It's handled so poorly and it doesn't even fit in with the tone of the overall story. Not at any point did it feel like a pregnant ending was warranted. Honestly Basara barely knows these girls outside and has spent half his time with them battling enemies. There was little romance or any dramatic shift in Basara that suggested he wanted to be a father. It was just a teen having unsafe sex and getting women pregnant. The girls deserved a far better ending than them getting knocked up because they were all horny. I'd much rather a timeskip so the series could've at least suggested Basara matured and began to deeply love his harem enough to want a family with them. Throughout the whole series Basara has shown to love his harem but not be in love with his harem. Them getting pregnant looks more like an accidental thing than them truly loving each other and wanting children. I wish it ended with them all just having a hot wild orgy and us knowing Basara will be having sex with these women for the rest of his life and will one day impregnate them all. The way the author did it felt forced. Lime he believed pregnancy was the only way to have a happy ending. I hope HxH doesn't make the same mistake.

It wasn't out of concern for himself that he started with all this lewd stuff. It was out of concern for Mio. Over time this constant blueballing lead to the rise of dark sentiments that Brynhildr used to try and take over him, which it did a few times with the help of various drugs and near death encounters. He was forced to accept that side of himself at some point during the demon world arc and since then Brynhildr hasn't posed a threat to him.
Pregnancy was going to happen if he ever crossed the line, this much was a given.

I can't believe I'm looking forward to what HxH has to offer way more than I am Shinmai. I think it's because I saw it coming with Shinmai but HxH happened literally what of nowhere. The best form of ecchi is when you see it coming. After awhile the Shinmai sex hype died down since we knew it'd happen but HxH just hit us with it.
