I would however like to see the Hotaru quotient pushed a lot harder. Her hair is great there but her eyes are her absolute and unique defining feature and adding the heart pupils makes her look *less* intense. Gotta have those mesmerizing blue spiral eyes, man. Your shading is kickass and your lines and overall drawing and color are outstanding. Just need to let her eyes be a little less realistic and more crazy. I'm also a little unsure as to why the rope up top is purple but I assume its a WIP detail or else I am missing something. Maybe the hardband should be a little greyer/blacker and less violet.
Also maybe a little drool but that might make her look too much like a madwoman and not just intense and zany. I think the lighting is fine, it seems like she is down in a cellar or something with light from above, or a high window. I like it. To think that awesome fanart of Calorie Queen would be found here!
