I'm not understanding how anyone can give a fuck about calves. In every photo, the framing can be made better by cropping them out (often above the knee) or squatting/ doing something similar. Chibi characters you can unironically sexualize have tiny calves to make their proportions denser with stimuli. Also it's heresy, but furry characters often exercise giving their characters dog-like hind legs, to keep calves more in frame. They're just a compromise if it's just a standing subject; I'm not sure how anyone could prefer calves to thighs.
