There's no quite indepth explaination on the mechanics that i'm aware of and the 10 page pdf that tells you how to play is untranslated.
From what i can tell:
Straight = Long
Hook = Middle
Uppercut = Short
Jab = chip damage and way easier to land but cannot knock down/knock out.
No idea how they interact with the defensive option like duck/sway/guard/counter or the movement options.
