The original manga created lots of gags and awkward situations around the fact that Belldandy was crazy naive and so had no concept of nudity, personal space or sexual intent, mostly because she said she would never manifest in front of ill intentioned people, and Keiichi always did his best to control his rising lust and urges in front of her, no matter how unintentionally crazy she was driving him.
Then the manga added Urd and Belldandy's naiviety began to get toned down to more beliveable levels.
