Does anyone have a gallery of Shinobi Master collab outfits from DOAX 3? Particularly how they look when broken, as the only one I can find anywhere is Nyotengu's. Which is easily the best one but gacha is being stingy, so I'm curious how others look.

No underlying pity counter. But since RNG is time based, you will occasionally hit bouts of multi-SSRs or run through horrid dryspells. For example, I got 3 outfits and a dupe from the previous collab gacha from lets say 30 rolls. I'm at 180 rolls on the current reprint one and only have 2 outfits and a dupe, despite the so-called 3x rates.

The only pity they offer is occasionally a free 10 roll after rolling 30, or a paid guarantee after rolling 50 times (no you don't get to pick), usually for the massive every-girl sets. Then there's Month tickets, which have various previously released SSRs (except collab or paid). Those come from stream gifts, monthly ranking, and grinding events like this awful pool hopping nonsense.

Interesting, do you know anything more in depth about it? Does it seed numbers from the server's times/dates or something of the like? I've had my share of dry spells followed by seemingly lucky streaks but I could only rule it out to statistics, not some hidden RNG that just so happens to make luckier rolls for me at certain specific times. You're prone to get 'something' eventually unless you're the unluckiest person in the world.

Yes, most rng will seed from the current time and play with that number to produce a random result. For games like this, it's server time, since you can always find your results even if the game crashes.
Sometimes waiting an hour was enough to flip my luck or, if you lurk Japanese boards, sometimes a bunch of players will seem to roll the same rateup within a short period of each other, but I found rolling based on others luck to not result in anything.
Honestly, in the end it's all ritual until you get out your wallet.

Rates 'should' average out to the advertised amount, but when I'm doing autistic bookkeeping, games frequently will be below the rates. But that could mean I'm a lucklet.

Of the "day" set the only one I enjoy is that slow one with the two dudes on vocals, of the "afternoon/night" set I also like the one with the piano introduction.
No idea how any of the compositions are actually called but the rest outside of those two are kinda meh, although personally they don't bother me enough to turn it all off outright.

I might be retarded but I can't get Beach Paradise to fully work
The nude/swimsuits/tanning works and I can go into the private paradise but the hotkeys for selecting animations don't do anything. The autolink hotkeys (slow down, breast physics etc) work fine and beep when pressed so could that be interfering?

Looks like it. I want to say...pre-BP 4.0? Before the body overhaul, the release that had a much wider variety of swimsuits (and some stability issues). BP 2.81 for me looks very similar. There might've been some releases that only had the nude option and no swimsuits.

Just play the event, events are your main source of stones. and unless you like either of the girls on the banner right now (Luna and Honoka) you should probably save your stones and wait for someone you like.

You'll eventually get them. There's events that give you SSR cupons, get 8 of those and you can combine them to get a guaranteed SSR. The list is limited to vanilla SSRs, but it's still an alright method of getting extra girls in case you're unlucky.

I was in your shoes about 3 months ago, and I already have unlocked half the cast with 2 lucky rolls and SSR tickets. All you need is some patience.

in blender, theres a whole clusterfuck of geometry around the nipples, what you need to do is enter edit mode, choose face select mode (ctrl+tab) select the faces of the nipple parts you want to keep, the press H to hide them. now on the main breast, delete some faces until you have holes roughly the size of the nipples you just hid.

Now press alt+H to unhide them, and ctrl+tab to vertex select mode.
Try to line the nipples outer vertices up with the main breast.
Proprtional editing can help you here (press O while editing, use mouse wheel to increase/decrease the proprtional effect)

Forgot to mention: its easier to seperate the nipples from the main mesh first or proportional editing won't work very well. select the nipple faces, press P, choose by selection. you can merge them back to the main mesh afterwards.

once you have them roughly fitted to the holes, you will notice some gaps where the main mesh has more vertices than the nipples, here you can use knife tool (press K) to divide a face and create a vertex to match the main breast mesh.

once you have the nipples placed with no gaps, you can merge them back to the main body (object mode, right click nipples, shift right click main body, ctrl+J)

once thats done, select the armature, select pose mode and move the breast tip bones around to see if they behave correctly.
If the breasts look good, then you are good to go, export the body as tmcmesh.

if the breasts look gappy and weird, then you'll need to fuck around with weight painting before exporting.

Yes, the process of installing is pretty much the same for both. I haven't had a mod that didn't work for me in the Steam version (though probably there are some.)

Yeah, they work just fine. There's some small issues, but nothing gamebreaking. The De-Mist mod is notorious for not working right in the Steam version, pic related. But all that's required is to change some text in the .Ini file and you're good to go

No see, here's the thing: the square bikini mod works, but when used by the de-mist mod it doesn't. This is cause because the Steam version is an old version of the game playing catch-up to the Glorious Nipponese version so at some point the skin texture hash got updated in the game, all you need to do is swap it to the old one in the text file and you're good to go.

The point is that I'm warning him that not everything works perfectly, there will be a hickup or two with some mods, but nothing that will break your install or get your account flagged for banhammer.

Oh. Yeah that warning is fair. What I meant was that I've been using a demist mod meant for DMM, on Steam, for quite a while now and I don't remember having any trouble with it at all. Could be one of those "werks on my machine" things. Although there might come a point where an update fucks up the hashes and it's gonna break all my stuff, at least it hasn't happened yet. Honestly the hash stuff is what worries me most about playing on steam because of the disparity with the game version the mods are technically made and tested for, but so far I've had relatively smooth sailing apart from some incompatible or proper broken ones which I could probably count on one hand.

i use the same mod folder for steam and dmm via symbolic links, for things like the square bikini where the hash changed, you just add both the old and new hashes, you'll just see the occasional red error text from 3dmigoto on startup

It IS the hi res skin. Unless there's a newer version I'm completely unaware of, the forums are an absolute disaster. It's the latest hi res one I could find for Kasumi from HI-METAL, I know that for sure, but it has been a while since that.

Oh I see I see. I will admit I haven't changed the mesh since I first modded the game, at least not knowingly or that I remember. I do prefer the vanilla shape of the bodies though, it's a personal preference of mine since it feels more "authentic" if that makes sense.
Anyway, I see you're mentioning the white lace suit. I like using the square bikini more for nude since it's the one that also overlaps the gacha shower background. Does the mesh have to go on that folder or could it go on the square folder instead? I'll play around with the BP textures and see if I like them but I'm ruling out replacing the bodies.

You can't simply do a mesh swap between the two because they have different vertex group names. if you are familiar with blender, you can import the white lace mesh, delete the vertex groups, then import the square bikini mesh and use the weight transfer tool to copy the correct groups over, then export it and replace the square bikini mesh.

if that sounds like a pain in the ass i can do it for you in aout an hour.

I don't have even the first idea about 3D modeling so that's out of the question. If you can do me that solid I'd appreciate it. I suppose I could pay it back by posting the 'fixed' results if you think it looks good enough. Don't worry if that import/export job ends up looking too sloppy or is too tedious to work on due to technical issues, I wouldn't mind that much to use a body mesh from another suit if it's better to work with.
Just to be sure, the general body shape would still be the vanilla mesh, yeah? I know I'm not in a position to be nitpicky, it's just I find it more appealing if the bodies remain with the original canon proportions. Actually, just today I got the swimsuit swapper mod working and I noticed the base body on it has nips with a different shape and texturing and look cleaner in general, but as far as I could tell it didn't have variable nip sizes which is a shame.

Got it. Looking at them side by side it does look like white mesh has a cleaner look overall, while square gets little dark smudges around the nipples, small imperfections in the geometry if you really squint and the general shape seems to be very slightly different. Unfortunately tanlines seem to break with both of them though. Any clues what that could be about? Something about the tan.ini maybe? I don't think I mentioned it before but I'm on Steam so maybe there's some inconsistencies with the file structures and hashes.
I don't want you to think I'm complaining though, I'm really thankful you're taking the time to make DOA tiddies better for us. I don't actually mind these nipple textures either so maybe I'll pass on the BP textures for now.

Anon you absolute madman I love you. Now I feel a little bad for having used a crap outdated mesh for so long.
While thinking about this stuff I went and checked if the Marie/Honoka meshes I had were maybe also outdated and ugly since they were part from the same pack as the botched base body from way back when but it doesn't seem to be the case, they look perfectly fine as far as I can tell.

on lovers lab, find the threads for costume customiser and BP boobs.

install costume customise to your mods folder, then install BP boobs to one of costume cusomisers numbered folders.

start the game, dress the girl in the black and red bikini with the sarong, (the one Nyo is wearing in her gravure thumbnails) then press F3 to bring up the parts menu. use numbers 1-8 to change boobs, use ctrl+1 to bring up the butt change option.

the BP skins are optional, they are intended as an alternative to hi-metals skins. if you already have hi-metals installed, just rename the folder they are in by adding DISABLED to the beginning of the folder name

any texture that doesn't have a transparent or shiny effect doesn't need an alpha channel, so save as DXT1 no alpha. The alpha on DXT5 textures almost doubles the size.

other than that, delete superflous subobjects like nyo and mais fans, nyos mask, etc with object tool (LR studio doesn't delete them, it just zeroes the indices/vertices) there is a checkbox to remove associated materials when you do this.
If there are any unassigned textures left over, use tmc texture tool to delete those.

you want to be aiming for around 10mb, although some girls can go as high as 14mb.
mai is on the low end at around 7mb.

bear in mind than many oversized files will load just fine in private paradise, but not in any combat mode.
