And speaking of quality: Most of the time, a pic with e.g. twice your native resolution will still look better w/o zooming in than a version that has been downscaled to lower resolutions.
Often the person downscaling the pic for whatever reason will also convert files from PNG to JPG and use a lower compression rate, ultimately resulting in JPG artifacts.
