If I follow a western artist the first thing I do is disable their RTs.
If I follow a Japanese artist I do NOT disable their RTs because Japanese artists are not cancerous issue scolds and they tend to RT the same kind of material they produce themselves. Most of the JP artists I follow I discovered via RTs.
