Apologies in advance for the rant.
What's up with most japanese artists not even attempting to make wet hair look wet. Trying to find a good pic with wet hair in this thread is like searching for a needle in a heystack, but at the same time it has some of the best drawn wet hair I've seen this artsyle has to offer.
For example, the hair in
>>2598933 is visibly dripping water, but it still maintains the same shape it would if it was dry, instead of allowing the weight of the water to straighten her her while it's dripping wet. I'm not even picking on this pic in particular because it's especially bad, but because it's the usual way wet hair seems to be drawn in anime/manga.
Or
>>2595081 where the girl is washing her hair, but looks completely dry aside from the shampoo making bubbles in the hair.
Compare and contrast with
>>2579254 where the hair is clumping together, gets frazzled at parts when it's not dripping wet anymore and visibly looks like it's wet. To top it off, this pic is primarily a foot fetishist pic insted of a hair fetishist pic.
Or compare with
>>2622067 where the pic has great examples of dripping wet hair, damp & frazzled hair and dry hair and how each looks different.
Or compare how the hair in
>>2648060 doesn't behave any different when it's submerged than when its not to
>>2631975, where the hair's ends lose their clump when submerged just like hair does in real life.
