>>2671377from my understanding the origin of bloomers is western volleyball uniforms, not cheerleaders. you also see a lot of modern track and field girls wear similar bottom wear, such as long jumpers and pole vaulters. in any case, the word “bloomer” seems to be the most concise and accurate word to describe what im looking for, i look up “bloomers” and i find brief-like athletic garments worn as outerwear, which is what i want. looking up “gym shorts” or something like that anon suggested gets me something more similar to short shorts.
