the original was effectively an ad to sell the LN, which had pretty weak sales at the time, hence no season 3+ but now they have two manga series, he's still making LNs, plenty of brand recognition and a large fanbase, it's got some weight now and is much more likely to continue than literally a brand-new animation studios first ever anime during the big anime slump of 2005-2015
