After her husband was made into a rug, Misha recognized total human supremacy and wouldn't allow her cub to go down the same path as many bears do. She was very demanding and fierce with Bobland, forcing him to wear human clothes, attend human schools and speak fluent Russian. Despite her tough love approach, Bobland only resented her and humans in general.
He found his way to North Park, learned English and stayed there for the foreseeable future. He doesn't keep in touch with Misha and has no plans on Cindy ever meeting her grandmother.
