I am pretty sure we worked out that they would also be twins since they appear to be the same age, making three sets of twins kinda. There are already more twin siblings than regular siblings in North Park, if anything we need to flesh out siblings of different ages more.
Although the funny thing about South park is the only things that usually distinguish a character is their skin colour, their hair and their clothes. All the kid's faces look the same meaning everyone theoretically works like an identical twin if they chose to dress the same as each other.
