the dinner inevitably came down to them giving unsolicited relationship advice to em and making not-so-subtle jabs at me for not having a girllfriend yet
felt sorry for the guy since he was clearly uncomfortable and here just for her sake
for the first time felt like a third wheel in my own home as regaled them with stories of their romantic youths
the jabs got a bit much since my parents were slightly drunk
ate half my dinner then just left home citing that i had to go collect my drawing tablet from my workplace before they closed shop as i usually do
im sure noone suspected a thing since my poker face is strong but man it was incredibly uncomfortable
its almost funny just how hurtful someone can get while not even meaning to be
I'm sure they had no ill-intent but man it sucked
mum can't do subtlety at all
she made it very apparent that she was disappointed that im the way that i am
yknow like she couldn't stop pointing out how abnormal i was
since she and dad already having been a relationship by my age (early 20s)
worse part is it wasn't even disgust or anger just pity
pity hurts the worst man
welp my christmas eve is ruined : (
