I made one demon saur by taking the horn thing to it's natural conclusion. It's not finished though because I thought of some world-building for the saurs and I didn't want to continue without deciding whether it was the right direction or not.
They start as an egg and then when anything alive and sapient touches or gets too close to one it bites or pricks it to fertilize itself with the DNA of the victim. A crab will give the baby crab parts, a plant makes a plantosaur, ect. So it can hatch into a stage 1 saur. The stage 1s are massive enablers that try to get their parents/hosts to give in to their vices and sin so they can feed off that to become stage 2. Then it will try to get a contract formed. Once signed and fulfilled it will absorb the parent and become a cool body horror abomination. Now at stage 3, it rampages to eat souls or something, and that makes new eggs somehow. I didn't think the last part through much.
I kinda want that to get shot down or reworked. The Deadmen from KR Revice heavily inspire it. And while we could easily get away with ripping them off because it's from a show that barely anyone who speaks English heard of and a bad one at that, and the whole inner demons becoming regular ones is wicked. you know how things that are too inspired by other stuff is. And that most of them would need to be hybrids of ancient reptiles and literally anything. The stage 3s should be rare though like 5 max.
Also, should I give it a tongue weapon like a xenomorph has for the other forms' tongue arm or have something freakish grow out of it?
