It is no secret that Dorothy has self esteem and body image issues, she sees herself as ugly and undesirable, and as a burden to others. If in her future she doesn't have the support of loved ones she might end up considering replacing herself with robot parts. As cute as it is I don't think she'd make her robot self a kid however, as she genuinely wants to be an adult so she can more freedom. She also definitely wouldn't be a brain in jar, as amusing as these are

In a good future though, she would have friends and loved ones who make her feel valid, and a romantic partner who helps her feel better about her body image issues. With help, she can gain the confidence she needs to pursue her dreams and live that happy long life her parents promised that she'd be able to have.
