You try so hard to portray her as a cool and badass character while disregarding cuteness and sexiness and in theory and that could work very well... problem is that in practice you draw her as someone cute and sexy looking, which clashes awfully with the character she is supposed to be in theory, worse is when you try and make her look badass it ends up looking forced and edgy it just doesnt work.
I am very forgiving towards Mariel as a character because I have a massive bias for blondies, but if you were more honest about her being actually cute and stuck to this on her design... OR you made her an actually badass looking character, she would be more bearable on that aspect.
