So, it's clear we are having some character fatigue, with discussion around certain characters feeling overdone, eventually people are gonna get tired of it. And that's fine, we can put those characters on the backseat for a while, and bring them back when they organically belong in an idea.
Not too long ago you probably remember I decided to flesh out Rosalind a bit more. I felt bad about her essentially being an OG character that had been "abandoned" so I brought attention to her for her birthday, and also worked to give her a unique personality and background that gives her that place among the cast.
Much further back from this, I also did the same with Lydia's gang. Lydia's creator was pretty happy for other people to flesh her out, and she had these three friends who pretty much only had their designs to go off, so I decided to make unique backgrounds for each, with their own personalities that play off each other and unique flaws. People seem to really have gravitated towards these four characters recently, which is fun to see, and makes me glad I decided to give them those personalities back then.
So what I am interested in, in order to combat the character fatigue, are there any other currently underdeveloped or perhaps "abandoned" older characters you feel are in need of similar fleshing out? I feel I could start working on doing that for any underused characters you are interested in hearing a potential expansion on their background for.
Obviously it's a collaborative effort, so if you don't like something I suggest you can bring that up and suggest an alternative, etc and we can build off that. But at the moment, please suggest the characters you feel are underdeveloped and I'll start working on ideas for developing them and strengthening their place within North Park, in the same way I did for Rosalind and Lydia's gang.
