So something that has been on my mind recently, have their been any instances for you where the simplistic art style usually used for North Park characters has led to you being unsure of how to interpret something? For example with hair styles. I quickly sketched this up as an example with Lydia and Ashley.
How do you interpret Lydia's hair to be, a centre part like the left or bangs cut into a point like the right? I am pretty sure for example that her brother's hair is styled like the left example and visually that part of their hair is usually drawn in the same way.
And with Ashley, do you see her hair representing a set of messy bangs, or representing her hair being pulled back to be put into the ponytails, and the spiky part represents a messy uneven hairline?
Maybe it's only me that's wondered this and it's been obvious which one it should be for everyone else. But I still thought it interesting to discuss. Any other characters you have something like this for? Doesn't have to just be related to hair style.
