aside from the final sequence which had cool imagery the entire movie was kinda cringe hippie "muh war bad" nonsense
the daughter is a prolly the writers OC donut steel self insert characters who in bum fuck nowhere angola has feminist posters in her room and a lbgt pride pin on her bag and raps and makes illegal teen rebel mixtapes that get her in trouble with the cops
the art style was standard google corporate slop shit with low quality animation to boot
it reeked of the "i've only faced first world problems uwu" yuppie rhetoric
even included a cathartic scene of the mother after taking refuge in a bombed out building smashing up the european heraldry framing around art depicting an african mother carrying a baby (mind you this is after the scene where she eats rice fallen off a relief food ration package that assumedly eu is dropping over their shitty war-ridden country)
It almost played out like a mean-spirited parody that some actual racist would think up but played completely straight
4/10 what a waste of time watching this shit was aside from a select few shits with very cool symbology was vanta black coal
"White plastic sky" was a very poorly made movie set in a YA dystopian setting where everyone is killed at 50 yr old and converted to tree cuz "muh all plant life is dead"
This one was on par with nayola in its shitty goslop story but atleast nayola was competently structured around a central plot with a clear theme regardles of what impotent african rage it was a projection of but plastic sky was a narrative disaster through and through
It failed on every metric right down from medium used (shitty roto-scoping) all the way to the script/narrative (which i suspect was a first draft shoved into production with a second though) (1/2)
