This was an idea I've had for awhile about a world where in the 50s, scientists discovered an ancient form of Chinese dark which would allow a person to combine an ounce of blood with any given amount of ink to create living illustrations. When other people found out about this technique they used it to bring comic book characters to life and use them as actors in stage shows and vaudvillian comedies. These are the main characters of the series, Calvin and Lauren, calvin is a jim tyer style crow with orange accents and Lauren is his jewish girlfriend who acts like ned sparks and smokes Cubans. They both occasionally help a monochrome skinned detective similar to Eddie valiant, he's an homage to 50s television. This idea was largely inspired by who censored roger rabbit, as it's about a world full of comic book characters living among mortal humans.
