>>815464The soft/kneaded eraser will always, always, always be your best friend. Digital or traditional, that little rubber whore is a blessing in disguise when it comes to squish. If you ever hear people say "line weight" this is what it's kind of referring to as well.
I wish I could offer a tangible option so you could visualize the squish better, but there are not many things (I guess porn, but not everyone wants to look at that). I hope this poor diagram helps a bit.
