>>2055459>cheaper than lightsmaybe if you play sim city but every time a city in NA tries to put in a roundabout, it ends up being a ten billion dollar project regrading the area and wasting money on red tape to re-zone or buy the land or whatever. also i doubt it's caring about speed anyway because my city at least fucking loves JUG HANDLES and all the urban design is centered around cars never having a legality-only reason to stop ever.
>>2055469>Roundabouts are complete shitroundabouts are good when you have roads converging at stupid angles, or more than 4 roads converging, especially odd numbers. arranging signalling for something like a 5 road intersection would be the worst Professor Layton puzzle. they have no place in town replacing 3/4 exit intersections where traffic is start-stop and pedestrians exist though. roundabouts are there to improve traffic flow and keep it constant, which is incompatible with the realities of city driving. roundabouts should only be on country roads
>lethal for cycliststrue but most ive seen have bike paths separated from the actual roundabout. but that makes its own problems, because now the cyclist who was on the road has to cross a sidewalk and get mean looks (or run over a child) to get onto the side path around the exterior of the roundabout
>>2055472>#endparkingminimumstheyre doing this in my city by provincial order and i do not know why. they say it's to make housing "easier" to build but it obviously doesn't and all the jeets they import fucking love cars so it would make it less attractive to move here than say, toronto or ottawa. not even memeing about "juggernaut theory" here. india has a bosozoku-like car scene and all the imported jeets lease Dodge Chargers and generally fucking love big boxy american cars
