>>2062399>How much shit are you riding through to get flats every 3 days?10km each way commute to/from work, about 1/3 on a trail, 1/3 in lower-density urban, 1/3 in industrial area
it's not even the tires, my tires are brand new and have suffered no damage. the tubes just fucking let go in the middle of the night. when i inspected it there was a weird tool mark as if there was a hole in it that was patched/filled at the factory or something, or maybe just a weird tool mark that missed QC.
>you WILL eat shit and diei always prepare to eat shit and die as i creep lit off the deep hits with a sick mind
>>2062398unironically no because typical modern ebikes use a hub motor and do not engage the gearing at all. if you have a frame-mounted motor then yeah maybe. but your average cheapo ebike now uses a hub motor, and the motor uses the spindle your gears would go onto as a stator. and even on older frame mounted motors where you don't have a ratcheting hub thing in the pedals, you would have a separate drivetrain that similarly is not attached directly to your gears but instead directly to the wheel/hub (otherwise when you rev it you'd mangle your legs as it would drive the pedals too)
but if you plan on pedaling it ever i would at least get a 6 or 7 speed and if it's a "conversion kit" there's no real reason to mess with the rest of the bike imo
>>2062411this nigger does not know how motors work
>>2062412honestly in my experience cheapo ebikes struggle to start from a dead stop. those motors are not that big nor very draw/voltage compared to similar sized motors on tools and industrial equipment etc
a lathe with a motor half the size will eat you alive because it's a giga nigga DC brushless eating 120v 400a doing you raw, you can stop a typical ebike wheel from moving with your bare hand since it's some 36v 8a wee lil niglet geared down a shitload so it can work at all
