the shifters may be something like shimano st M050 - most of this kind that I have encountered have worn out due to age and no longer work - Ive yet to attempt a repair of one
the brake levers have a round disk cast into them with a hole though the center for a bolt and twelve shallow holes around the edge
for the Rapid fire shifters this type of lever has the casting lower down

good parts are
going by the front crank and the rear U brake that bike is equipped with "shimano exage mountain"
this stuff is priddy decent
