There are several "city" bus lines with bus stops everywhere. Service is frequent. There are several bus lines connectiong with other towns and villages nearby. There are long range bus lines going to large cities. There is a well connected train station with several platforms and several trains every hour. There is an extra narrow gauge train station with steam trains. The entire town is walkable and bikeable. But I recommend a mountain bike or an electric bike. There is a hospital, one of the largest breweries in Germany, a chocolate factory, a university of applied science and of course a fairy tale castle.
