I sort of want to teach soaring for fun, but I already have a part-time job teaching kids fractions English etc. I show up whenever the fuck I want and I never have to grade papers, so it keeps me sane. Plus, I get all the time back not by typing math problems into Google.
When I kept my build log I was logging 100-110 hours/wk. But it's not bothering me because I can always take time off for good soaring weather. Back when I worked a McJob my scores were shit, but now that I'm in charge of my own schedule I can do things like sleeping the night before.
I don't give a shit about the airline industry or any other, if I couldn't fly whenever the weather's good, it would not work out.
