I just live in a city where there is literally no need for one. Taxis cost like 5€ for 5km, trams and buses can get me anywhere for like 1€ (ignoring the monthly pass). I can just order everything to be shipped to me via some shipping service so it's really irrelevant if I own a car or now when it comes to buying huge volume things.
