you could also unbolt the rear wheel, flip it around, and have a fixed gear bike.
Try it one day. There is already a fixed cog there on the other side. Just check it has a lockring.
Seeing as you need a new lever, and cable, you could buy a lever set like pic related which comes with cables. And switch to drop bars.
or, a set like Shimano Tiagra BL-4700 Flatbar Brake Levers and switch to riser flat bars or cruiser bars. Or stay with what you have now.
>>1423591>elaborate please I don't understand what you mean..when you're riding, you can brake with your shoe on the rear tyre. This is what you do if your brakes fail down a hill.
