Can anyone give me advice/feedback on the custom bike I am currently ordering? No bully plz
I wanted a versatile, durable 4 season do-it-all bike here in Canada. It can be a gravel bike, drop bar adventure bike, touring or XC. I'm not racing so I don't really care about the weight that much and I like having just 1 bike for all my needs. I had in mind to do the tour Divide and other extreme bikepacking events. Here's the build:
>Oversized and thick walled Reynolds 853 tubing (downtube is 38mm in diameter)
>Zinc phosphate dip, ED coated and anti corrosion spray inside the tubes to better cope with our salty winters
>not suze about tubing profiles but it's double butted and 1mm thick at the middle portion
>not pictured are gussets at the bottom bracket area, top tube/head tube and top tube/seat tube to add rigidity and alleviate fatigue cracks/stress at the welding area
>44mm oversized head tube
>can accept tires from 40mm to max 2.4"
>Steel Colombus life oversized thick tubing tapered fork
>multiple mounting bosses
>chris king headset
>180mm to 203mm disc brake rotors
>GRX812 OR 820 compoments
>Chris king T-47 85.5mm bottom bracket
>SQ Lab 612 saddle
>K-lite gravel dyno light
>Wheels: Boost spacing and shimano centerlock
>velocity blunt 35, 36 spokes with SON28 dynamo
>Vittoria Mezcal 2.1" tires
>cushcore tire insert
>Paragon rocker dropouts to adjust chainstays length and BB height
***Not sure yet***
>Drivetrain: I want the wodest possible range so a 48/31 crankset and a 11-42 cassette
>handlebars
>internal or external hydro cable routing
>40mm or even larger downtube
