>>1561960It's not so much for random pedestrians. Every city has a community of graffitti artists and when we see a tag from someone we know it's kinda cool. Putting your name up also shows dedication and the more people see your name the more serious they know you are. A "throw up" is the kind of piece most people say looks good, the kind that takes lots of time and effort. Usually we put those in highly visible areas to establish ourselves as actual artists and not just edgy teens trying to rebel ("toys"). Basically, if you think my piece is cool than thanks and if it offends you then I don't give a shit. If I see that one of my pieces has been painted over I will come back and do another in the same spot.
