>>1899710>>1899711There is one that opens at 5:30 am (Matsuri) but I'm not sure if you can do everything within 12 minutes. The store itself is actually very convenient since it is right next to the stairs exiting the platform at the Central Corridor, but I'm unsure how much are you carrying.
>I thought there might be an earlier train so you could have more time but it is actually THE very first northbound train leaving Odawara at 4:30am.Oof
>Taking a cab from Koriyama to FutabaI'm not sure if 25,000+ Yen cost is worth it (according to Navitime), that's around three quarters of the cost of a Japan Rail Pass
Now that I read about Futaba, I would assume you want to visit the town and witness what happened to the town after the Tohoku Earthquake? I actually thought of the idea of visiting Nikko > Aizuwakamatsu > Sendai and then you can travel through the whole Joban Line southbound towards Tokyo stopping along at Futaba and Ooarai but even that still leaves you relatively few options (you have to leave Sendai at around 7:20am) as the service between Haranomachi and Iwaki is sparse.
Image absolute related as it was the lone 651 Series EMU set (K202) that was abandoned in Haranomachi Station after the Tohoku Earthquake and eventually scrapped in 2017
