That is because all that nonsense talk about chainlines and cross-gears and duplicates. So people use the FD _WAY_ too often.
Anyhow - all this talk triggered me into finally ditching the 1x11 on my roadish bike. Now I rock 2x10 with 50/39 rings and 11-23 cassette. Kind of steep for me, but whatever. We'll see how it goes. Pic related.
