I got a feeling trolleybuses are generally really appreciated by the people and not taken for granted like trams. In the netherlands only Arnhem has a trolleybus system but they're way more fond of their trolleybuses than other dutch cities are of their trams. They call themselfs 'trolley city' and they're constantly working on new expansions without people complaining about the costs. Trolleybuses with batteries are now being ordered to extend the trolley lines into the whole region.
Once you go trolley you can never go back.
