>>1921422even a brand new state 4130 for $550 is relatively reasonable considering it would cost well over $100 on top of the purchase price to properly restore the vintage bike, you could sell the dual pivot calipers and drop levers that come included with the state, and they've redesigned the state 4130 to have wider tire clearance and hopefully sorted out most of the quality control issues, but it's not like the vintage bike would have been made with much better accuracy and the frame could have been bent slightly out of alignment over its many years of existence, the state 4130 looks dead straight from looking at the frontal pics that they've posted
