There is a Volkswagen factory in Dresden, Saxony, and they used to manufacture the Volkswagen Phaeton. They also produced the Bentley Intercontinental for 6 months while another factory in the UK was undergoing upgrades, but now they produce the Volkswagen eGolf.
Anyway, since the factory is city centre, Volkwagen decided to make the factory as Eco-friendly as possible. Part of that included using the existing tram infrastructure in Dresden. Car parts are delivered to a facility outside of the city, loaded onto the "CarGoTram" and then the last part of the journey is done by tram. The tram is operated by DVB, who are the transport operator of trams and buses in Dresden.
