This is the train station of my hometown. It has one platform and two tracks.
There are commuter rail trains coming through every half hour in both directions. The lines are called S6 and S7 and they connect the state capital Hannover with the minor city of Celle.
Freight trains use the rails much more often than that, day and night.
The train station marks the fringe between the western and central/northern parts of the city. It includes an underpass that usually smells like piss and cigarettes.
There are bus stops and bike shelters on both sides of the station. Buses connect to all surrounding towns and villages at least a few times a day. There is an enormous bus terminal on the eastern side of the station, which is barely even used by the small number of buses.
The schedules are not aligned to the commuter rail at all, so you often find yourself waiting 15 minutes or more at the damn station. If your destination is still within the town, you're better off walking most of the time.
All in all, it's pretty bad, but it's my hometown and I like it.
