Slow progress in Bielefeld. We have three types of trams: The old M8D and M8C trains from the nineties (pictured) and the newer "Vamos" muffintop trams from 2011. The Vamos trains are longer and wider than the old ones, which means that they can only be used on lines 2 and 4, while lines 1 and 3 can only be served by the older models. Needless to say, this is awful.
The tracks and stops on line 3 are gonna be modernized for the newer trams starting this year, but it's gonna take at least until 2020 before the Vamos trams can use them.
