I hope that would demotivate people from using the car to go everywhere and clog the place up. Our public transport is fairly good, but it still goes beyond its capacity during rushhours.
As a more realistic alternative, I wish all the bus lines operated by Deutsche Bahn and their subsidiaries would be taken over by Mobiel, the local transport authority.
