Any reason why suburbs couldn't work with public transit? I'm not talking cul-de-sac's and such, just single-family and duplex housing with a garage and a yard. I think residential-exclusive zoning, parking minimums, and maybe even vehicle size are more detrimental to the existence of public transit than the existence of cars.
