>>1020267You don't "set" an ADF per se. The head points to the station always (Magnetic bearing), the tail is where you are in relation to the station. If you want to intercept a new course it's "easier" to fly parallel to your current course and "PUSH THE HEAD" - "PULL THE TAIL," lots of planes have fixed card ADFs some have movable, even with movable cards it's generally best to leave ADF with 0 degrees (or North) at the top... makes figuring out relative bearing easiest. Sorry for my shitty drawing, but in this situation you have a plane flying directly south of the station, ADF points right to the NDB. If you want to intercept a 330 bearing to the station, then it requires a turn to the right to make the head of the needle fall to 330. I'm no artist just an airline pilot so excuse my shit drawing.
