I want to make a gauge-1 live steam model of the 2-foot gauge locomotive "Ariel" used by the Billerica & Bedford railroad in 1878, as well as the coach and baggage cars it pulled.
How hard would it be to kitbash an Accucraft Ruby to resemble Ariel? The engine had an unusual cab-forward configuration so it would pull the trains backwards without the boiler obstructing the engineer's view.
As for the coaches, I was hoping to pass off some custom-painted Jackson sharps as B & B rolling stock. However, information about the livery other than very old black-and-white photos is very difficult to find.
