I never had a problem being a fat body, so I don't know what that's like because I had the opposite problem of being skeletor but I too was self conscious about my physical stature since I looked like a basedboy manlet due to lightning fast metabolism, not enough food, and a lack of exercise, which I've been working hard in correcting the past few years and cycling couldn't be a better lower body workout that is also fun and engaging.
IMO, the effort you put in to become a better, stronger, fitter person is admirable regardless of whether you used to be a stick or had your own gravitation pull. It's going to be tough not to give up, mentally and physically, and criticism will be part of that because others will envy your dedication as they would rather choose the easy path of not bettering themselves. Do you want to believe in others or do you want to believe in yourself?
