The Riese & Müller Load 60 is probably the closest real bike to what I imagine my dream cargo bike to be, owing to its electric assist and full suspension, but if I ever gain the competence and confidence to design my own cargo bike it would incorporate the following changes:
- 20 inch wheels front and rear
- heavy duty rear rack that's 400mm from the seat to the back with footboards on both sides
- front box that's 600mm long and 400mm wide at the bottom, 380mm tall and 800mm long and 600mm wide at the top with horizonal frame rails running around it so you can more easily stack euro boxes into it and onto it, I don't know why cargo bike manufacturers design their front boxes with these odd, always slightly too small dimensions that make them useless for standardized goods like euro boxes or even just water crates and beer crates, like "oh you wanted to put two beer crates behind each other in the box and it would've needed to be 600x400mm, well we're really sorry but it's only 585x380mm"
