>>1347883it really is crazy how fast one can make cardio gains. I have been lifting weights for 4-5 years now and neglected cardio for pretty much the entirety of that. Went from struggling to ride 15k to doing 50k rides in a few weeks. Yesterday I maintained 29kph for the first 45-50min of my ride before only dropping off slightly to 28kph at the hour mark. Not anything special really but considering 30kph wouldve burned me out within minutes when I started it seems like great progress being able to hold that for an hour now.
Never really saw that quick of an improvement when I was running a while back. Also it seems like in my last longer ride (2.5h) the main problem wasnt physical fitness or strength but just that I didnt bring anything to eat and my water was running out a few kilometers before the end. So I had a dry mouth and was hungry af at the end. Who knows maybe I am not totally terrible at t his endurance thing.
