Why? I’ve only ever ridden mountain bikes my whole life and I’ve gotten deep into biking, but I’m getting my first “gravel” bike (pic related) in the next month or so

Rigid mountain bikes still generally hang below 70° head angles, with decently long wheelbases, gravel bikes are short with small tire clearance (compared to mtb) and far closer to road bikes than to rigid mtbs
But of course the lines between bikes are always changing and getting blurred

I wanted to pretend it’d be for 80% dirt 20% road but I can’t see myself riding any road at all even with the allure of mad speed
I only got drop bars (which I’ve basically never ridden before) because I felt like it would be more comfortable than mtb bars long-distance with the extra riding positions and all, but based on things I’m reading online even roadies seem to think flat bars are more comfortable
I already have a dank ass hardtail and several full suspension mountain bikes all with different amounts of travel, this is the closest thing to a road bike I’ve ever ordered, it’s a completely different bike for the exact same riding I’m already doing, is it considered same bike syndrome?

But wtf this thing costs $1000 more than a unit x it has a dropper and road drivetrain but what else is the difference
